Why we give
Why do we give?
We teach and practice the Biblical principle of tithing. Tithe means a tenth. When we tithe, we give 10% of our income to God - it's an act of obedience to his Word (Malachi 3:10-12) calls us to give as an act of obedience, but to give generously. Once you are faithfully tithing, we would like you to consider giving above and beyond by supporting missions and outreach efforts here in Jackson County and around the world.
The Apostle Paul wrote: "Decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others." (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)
God is doing great things through First Assembly, and we love that you're a part of it! It’s all about Jesus - and his life-changing power. It’s about families being healed, marriages restored and relationships mended. It's about making an impact in our community and around the world. That's why we do what we do. And that's what your giving supports. Thank you!
